Where we work

Saudi Arabia

A Sunday-to-Thursday week, respected properly

Saudi Arabia runs on WhatsApp and Instagram, in Arabic, on a week that starts on Sunday. Most software assumes otherwise, and it shows in the first automated reminder that lands on a closed office.

  • Sunday–Thursday week, weekend Friday and Saturday
  • Arabic-first conversations, including voice notes
  • Instagram DMs and WhatsApp in one inbox
  • Reporting in SAR

What is different here

Running a business in Saudi Arabia

Not a country name substituted into the same page. These are the things that are genuinely different, and that generic software gets wrong.

  • The week starts on SundayBusiness hours and timezone are per-account settings the assistant's schedule is evaluated against, so a scheduled follow-up does not go out on a Friday to an office that closed on Thursday evening.
  • Arabic-first, including voice notesEnquiries arrive in Arabic more often than in English, frequently as voice notes. The assistant transcribes and replies in the language the customer used.
  • Instagram is a primary sales channel, not a marketing oneFor consumer businesses here the DM is where the sale happens. Instagram is a peer channel in the same inbox, not an afterthought bolted on with a separate bot.
  • Reporting in SARCurrency is an account setting, so deal values and invoices are in riyals rather than converted from a default.

The calendar is the part that goes wrong first

The most common way an automation embarrasses a business here is timing: a reminder on the weekend, a follow-up during prayer, an “outside hours” reply at 10am on a Sunday. Business hours and timezone are account settings and the assistant's schedule is evaluated against them, so the definition of out-of-hours is yours.

Aesthetics, in particular

Aesthetics and wellness clinics are growing quickly here, and the enquiry pattern is the same one the clinic module was built for: a DM asking a price, a question about a practitioner, and a booking that has to land in a diary the database will not let you double-book.

03 / 03

Arabic in the conversation, English in the app

The product interface is English today. The conversations are not — the assistant answers in whatever language the customer wrote in, from your own instructions and your own catalogue.
